Captain John Gregory was born 1622 in Stockwith, Lincolnshire, England. He died before 1697 in Old Rappahannock, VA.

He married Elizabeth Bishoppe. She was born 1625 in Old Rappahannock, VA and died before 1676. She was the daughter of Robert Bishoppe and Martha Harwood.
